Shipping household goods and furnitures, with tax exemption is one of the priviledges of a balikbayan.

A 13G visa is required for former Filipinos and 13A visa for the spouse of a different nationality. It is like getting a green card to the Philippines. Dual Citizenship does not cover that entitlements.

Since the shipment have some tax exemptions, it is advisable to make the most of the shipment. Bring in good quality appliances and furnitures.

Shipping low quality items is not recommended considering the shipping cost. Might as well donate it to Salvation Army or have a yard sale for that.
